Surprise San Antonio Riverwalk Proposal with Lukas and Grace

You probably think of the touristy crowds along the San Antonio Riverwalk, and how that might look for a surprise proposal. Some might want the attention, it's a big moment, but most think of a more intimate setting. For Lukas he was opting for a low key spot that would capture the beauty of the surroundings. Even along the low traffic Riverwalk sections you're going to get noticed; a proposal is a magical event that attracts attention.

For Lukas and Grace their trip to Texas was an entertaining adventure with a proposal rolled up in the middle. This proposal took a little bit of coordinating to make work with their plans. We finally decided the walk form their hotel to the "drift & dine" riverboat dinner was the perfect opportunity. The route would mean no crowds and beautiful scenery.

The two had a full schedule of plans while they were in town from Alabama. They were hitting all the tourist spots, taking in a concert at the Alamodome, and of course going on the "drift & dine" cruise along the Riverwalk. The "drift & dine" is a once a year event with stops along the Riverwalk to hear music, watch the sunset, and discover new restaurants with savory bites. An ideal way to enjoy the excitement of being newly engaged!

The excitement of the proposal was evident, and the planning pad off with true surprise. Grace was speechless as the two stood under the majestic cypress trees. It's always a treat to see the reaction as they both take in the moment and feel the emotion. Once Lukas and Grace had some time to enjoy the beauty of being newly engaged we continued the photo journey with some wonderful candid images in the area. It was a perfect moment in the middle of their trip to San Antonio.
