Constance & Sadie's Tree House Wedding - Cypress Valley Event Center
Dripping Springs is the self declared Wedding Capital of Texas, and they want to be known as the destination for weddings. Located in the Hill Country and a short drive from Austin certainly helps prop up that designation, but sometimes you want something a little different. The are is dotted with rustic chick venues that any couple would swoon over, but then you have those who like adventure. Enter Constance and Sadie, not your average couple.
How about sleeping in a tree house the night of your wedding? You say you really want to get married in a valley along a spring fed creek? 500-year-old cypress trees excite you? Wait, there's an owl involved? Constance and Sadie embraced the adventure, and went for something completely non-traditional with Cypress Valley Event Center. A venue that offers a completely unique wedding experience making it one of the more distinct spots in the Dripping Springs area.
Cypress Valley made a name for themselves with their canopy tours. Ziplines crisscrossed the spring fed creek, through the cypress trees, down toward the Pedernales River. The tree houses followed were added next and the location became something like a resort. Before anyone knew it, couples were proposing on the zipline platforms, and booking the treehouses for honeymoons. The romance and atmosphere led to the addition of an event center, and fair-tale weddings began being booked. Unfortunately a fire impacted the ability to continue the zipline tours, but the weddings continued, and it's still a destination for a unique experience.
Cypress Valley had been on our radar for some time, so when Constance and Sadie contacted us about photographing their wedding there was no hesitation from us. A couple months before the wedding we booked a stay in the "Juniper" treehouse. It was an opportunity to see the resort and experience the environment. Fairy-tale adequately describes it!
When a couple can make their wedding a magical experience for themselves that's special, but when they can make it an adventure for their guests, that is amazing. Constance and Sadie achieved that with Cypress Valley. Their wedding was a unique and unforgettable weekend shared with their closest friends that was special for everyone.
To be a part of this wedding was an adventure. To be able to share the photos of the experience and tell the story is incredible.
Thanks to the vendors that made this day so special.
